Sustainable Design Approach
Larocque Elder Architects prides itself on being a leader in ecologically based design, creating environmentally responsible developments without compromising design excellence.
LEA’s projects have integrated innovative sustainable initiatives to address environmental issues such as earth-integrated architecture, passive solar heating, geothermal energy, improved indoor air quality, use of recycled material products, green building products, energy conservation, construction waste reductions, low-impact storm water management, reduced water consumption and naturalized low maintenance landscaping.
LEA’s design philosophy is grounded in the three fundamental principles of sustainability: environmental excellence, economic viability, and social responsibility. We collaborate with each client to understand their needs and objectives while proposing a wide range of innovative alternatives. Following the ‘three principles’ approach, we offer solutions within the program guidelines that enhance environmental and economic quality and foster social awareness within the facility.
